PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., prevailing time, on behalf of the Lancaster Industrial Development Authority (the “Authority”), at the offices of Blakinger Thomas, PC, 28 Penn Square, Lancaster, Pennsylvania 17603. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comment on the proposed issuance by the Authority of tax-exempt revenue bonds (the “Bonds”), in one or more series issued together or at separate times pursuant to a plan of financing, to pay costs, including financing costs, of a project (the “Project”) as follows:
The public hearing is being held on behalf of the Authority, as the issuer of the proposed tax-exempt obligations and on behalf of the City Council of the City of Lancaster and the Borough Council of the Borough of Denver, the elected governmental officials who must approve the plan of finance and issuance of such tax-exempt obligations in accordance with the requirements of Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”). The Bonds, if issued, are intended to be issued as qualified small issue bonds with respect to a manufacturing facility, pursuant to Section 144(a) of the Code.
BOND FINANCINGS OF THE LANCASTER INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY ARE NOT OBLIGATIONS OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA, THE CITY OF LANCASTER, THE BOROUGH OF DENVER OR OF ANY CITY, BOROUGH, TOWNSHIP OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA.
At the public hearing, any and all persons in attendance will be afforded the opportunity to comment on the proposed Project and the proposed issuance of the Bonds.
This notice is published in accordance with the requirements of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended, and regulations promulgated thereunder.
