What We Do
The Shade Tree Commission, working in conjunction with the City Arborist and Urban Forester, works to maximize the benefit derived from public shade trees by establishing and enforcing policies for the planting, removal, maintenance and protections of trees within the City. These include trees along City streets and sidewalks (‘Right-of-Ways’) and Protected or Landmark trees. The Commission meets on the Third Tuesday of each month, at 7:30 PM in City Hall (Council Chambers), 120 North Duke Street.
