Statement Regarding City New Year’s Eve Event

Following a careful review of the City of Lancaster Office of Promotion’s event offerings, we have made the decision to forego the City’s New Year’s Eve event for the foreseeable future. This decision will allow our team to more strategically allocate our limited resources to events that are longer in duration and attract larger crowds of all ages. Of course, our Red Rose will remain in safe keeping!

We are excited about the events on the horizon for 2024, Lancaster can look forward to some new events as well as time honored traditions like the Mayor’s Tree Lighting. We encourage residents and visitors to take advantage of other New Year’s Eve offerings throughout the city – there is still plenty to do in Lancaster City!
