City of Lancaster Seeking New Public Art Advisory Board Members

The City of Lancaster is seeking to fill two seats on the Public Art Advisory Board with one regular member and one alternate member.

The City welcomes applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, but should, to the extent possible, demonstrate knowledge in fields related to art and design or who demonstrate an interest in the arts as it relates to civic improvement. Applicants should either be residents of the City or demonstrate an active interest in the arts in the City.

Duties of the Public Art Advisory Board include making recommendations on matters related to artist selections and implementation of public art projects funded or supported by City while also serving as community advocates for public art within the City.

Members are appointed at the discretion of the Mayor and City Council to serve terms of 2 years.
